What we collect
When you contact us through this website or engage us professionally, we collect the information you provide directly — typically your name, email, phone number, and a description of the matter you would like us to review. If you become a client, we also collect the financial documents and records required to perform the engagement.
The website itself stores small operational data: server access logs, an analytics-grade record of pages viewed, and the IP address of submissions to the contact form (kept for fraud-prevention only).
How we use it
- To respond to enquiries and prepare engagement letters.
- To perform the professional services we have been retained to perform.
- To meet our regulatory obligations as a CPA practice — including record-retention rules under the Code of Ethics of Chartered Professional Accountants.
- To communicate with you about your file. We do not send marketing email.
What we do not do
We do not sell, rent, or trade personal information. We do not share your file with parties outside the engagement except where compelled by law or with your written authorisation.
How long we keep it
Working files are retained for the period required by professional standards (typically seven years). Contact-form submissions that do not become engagements are retained for two years and then purged.
Your rights under Quebec Law 25
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information we hold about you, subject to professional and legal retention obligations. Direct requests to hello@fiscallogictax.com.
